week 25 (Spring Break Week)

Monday- I love this week! All the local schools have this week off for spring break. So there are extra special things going on this week. We take full advantage of them but keep at our at home work. This week in history we are talking about reconstruction. I found this really great history youtuber who makes parodies from popular music about history topics. We've been listening to his reconstruction song this week. After we got most of our work done I took the kids to the Grand Rapids Ballet company spring break performance. They had Gymco there, crafts, and dress up opportunities for the kids before the show. The kids had friends over in the afternoon.

Tuesday- We did school at home then we went with friends to the art museum.

Wednesday- We woke up to a snow covered yard.We watched a documentary on ocean diving then the kids all worked on making their own submarine. We met some friends from church at the public museum and then went to the downtown library for a Harry Potter escape room. The kids loved it. In the evening we did family art time.

Thursday- Today we met friends at the rock and mineral show. The kids both found their birthstones and Caiden used his birthday money to get a trilobite We also found rose rock which the kids learned about in history. Cherokee legend says a rose rock grows on the trail of tears for every drop of blood that was spilled.
