June- Summer learning

Tuesday May 29th- We met my parents in Lansing to pick up the kids around 5:00. It was really exciting to see them again after being away for 16 days. The kids liked their gifts we got them.

Wednesday May 30th- Mike stayed home from work today. I went to a coffee shop to update our budget and the rest of the day was spent unpacking and grocery shopping. We did play a game of settlers in the afternoon when Westin was taking his nap. The kids had their last music lesson today.

Thursday May 31st- The kids played in the morning at the house. Caiden made a boat and both big kids read. Maddy helped me cook dinner and there was a very big turtle that crossed the road. The kids also had their last gymnastics class.

Friday June 1st- Our lingual learner spanish group had a play date. The kids had a lot of fun. We then went to Maple wood splash pad. Then had dinner with Craig and Angie and spent the evening swimming in their pool.

Saturday June 2nd - We went to the downtown library for a lego robotics program. After the program we played at the children's museum for a few hours. We came home and had a family cook off.

Sunday June 3rd - The kids choose summer math work books at 5 and below today.

Monday June 4th - We meet some of our friends at the christain reformed campground today. We had fun swimming in the pool, playing group games, doing crafts, and playing at the beach. We made it home in time for Mike's hockey game.

Tuesday June 5th - Today I signed the kids up for 4 summer reading programs. We stopped by the Grandville KDL library for their outside play time. We stopped by the library to get more stamps for pen pal letters. The we signed up at Schulers and Baker bookhouses. We stopped by the homeschool building and checked out some games and signed up for their reading program. We went to book and ice cream in the evening.

Wednesday June 6th- We went to Fredrik Meijer Gardens with friends then we went to the score for lunch. We had the girls over for reading and drawing and playing.

Thursday June 7th - Today was a good day. We went grocery shopping and also picked out some fabric for Maddy to make pillows with her new sewing machine. We also did math and read. We meet some new friends at Frog Hallow today too. Caiden is working on a comic book and there was some minecraft shenanigans this evening.
