July Summer learning

Sunday July 1st
Another great day with family at Sommerset campground.  We've had temperatures at over 100 degrees so we've been spending most of the day down at the beach and in the shade.  Tonight was the girls sleep over and the boys sleep over.

Tuesday July 3rd
The local towns had a fire work show tonight so all the kids hoped in the back of my cousin Ryan's truck to get a good spot at the church parking lot.

Wednesday July 4th
We packed up and headed home today.  We were so tired that we didn't stay up at watch fire works here.  Camping is really fun but man that heat it can really take it out of me.

Today we were really tiered after being at the beach yesterday.  We went and got donuts and spent the morning watching a documentary on Henry Ford. We played ticket to ride and then I addressed 11 envelops to be mailed out to the families that helped us get the group rate at the Henry Ford museum.  In the evening we caught fire flies.

July 27
The kids and Mike spent the weekend with his parents so I could get some cleaning done.  I got rid of 3 bags of trash from our unfinished part of our basement.

July 28
Today's project was steam cleaning all the carpets in the house.  I rented a cleaner from home depot and got a ton done around the house with my crew away.

Sunday July 29
I made major progress on the mess in the basement and returned the steam cleaner today.  There was a trip to once upon a child and goodwill too.  Feels good to purge and clean!  I didn't get everything done but I got a good jump on it.

Monday July 30
We went blueberry picking with friends today and then we went to the Holland Outdoor Discovery Center to learn how to use their archery range.  When we came home we made a blackberry pie from scratch.
 Picking Free Organic Blue berries
Berry picking is more fun with friends.

The archery range is free with our membership

Tuesday July 31
In the morning we did the Grandville Library kids and teen craft fair.  Maddy made pillows and sold all but 2 of her pillows. Caiden started his a robotics camp at the Grand Rapids Public Museum in the afternoon and then we all went to book and ice cream in the evening.
