Week 12
Sunday
The kids had a talent show style Christmas program at church today. They all did great! Caiden played a solo guitar piece, did a sign langue song, and did several scripture readings. Maddy did a dance and hand bells. Westin did the Kindergarden choir. They all enjoyed performing on stage.
Monday- We stayed home today and it was glorious. Caiden did a lot of reading and Maddy started a comic book. We finished the digestive system last week in science so this week we are focusing on reviewing the body systems that we have learned so far. In history we are continuing our study on ancient Egypt. This week we are learning about the old kingdom. The kids are plugging away at math, reading, writing, vocab, spelling, Spanish, music, and their cursive.
Tuesday
The kids went to Spanish class in the morning and then we went ice skating with friends after class. Rosa Parks circle is always such a fun outing.
Wednesday
We worked on school at home and Maddy had her last band a choir practice before the concert which is this weekend. Caiden's guitar teacher was having car trouble so he cancled his lesson with Caiden. I took the boys to the library becasue we had a lot of materials on hold and Caiden finished his second battle of the books and was ready for book number three which was waiting on hold for us to pick up. We took Westin to swim and then enjoyed some down time at home. The big kids had church in the evening.
Thursday
We enjoyed a nice slow morning at home. Caiden finished all his work before gymnastics but Maddy had a few things to finish up when we got home. We watched Peabody and Sherman in the afternoon because of our study on Ancient Egypt. We enjoyed a quite evening at home.
