week 13

Monday- We started our unit on the Middle Kingdom in our ancient Egypt lesson in history.  We talked about obelisks and built one out of clay.  The big kids wrote about the thing they liked best about christmas vacation for writing.  Each kid worked on their own reading.  Westin is starting a new writing book since he finished his last one before break started.  The big kids work in their horizen math and westin and I did dice work today.  The big kids did a spelling lesson as well as handwriting.  We then met friends for book it pizza for lunch.  The kids spent the afternoon working on their duct tape projects for Awana.  It was a great first day back after break.
