June summer learning

Tuesday June 1st -

Welcome to summer learning! Westin will be focusing on reading and math this summer. We didn't finish his book this year so we will be working through that. Caiden and Maddy will be working on reading, writing, math on Fridays, but mostly geography. They are both starting in Central America and then Maddy will be moving through the states and Caiden will be tackling the countries in Africa. The kids tackled their summer learning projects then we went swimming with friends and then headed to book and ice cream in the evening. It was a great way to start our summer routine.

Wednesday June 2nd -

Today was a little crazy. A good friend had their 3 year old have a seizure today. So we picked up her boys and went to the Score. We had the boys over night. The kids enjoyed their time together.

Thursday June 3rd -

We met 6-7 families at the beach today. The kids had a blast playing together. When we have beach days we usually stay at the beach all day and don't do school work.

Friday June 4th - We cleaned up after our beach trip and ran errands and got ready for our upcoming trip to Ohio. We played multiplication bingo today to just review our math facts. We also went to the Thelen's for a birthday party. It was a great day of getting things done and seeing friends.

Saturday June 5th- We started the day with soccer games then hit the road for Ohio. We are heading south to celebrate Tobin's graduation. And to help out with his party. We arrived in the evening and helped with preparation for the grad party.

Sunday June 6th - All hands on deck. We did lots of work all day for Tobin's grad party. We were up past 1:00 enjoying the celebration.

Monday June 7th - Today we all worked hard to tear down the tents and clean up from the party. Westin enjoyed talking with my grandma on the porch while we cleaned up.

Tuesday June 8th - We woke up and hit up a local Duck Donuts. We love to eat there when there is one near by. Then we drove home. It had been a long couple of days are we were ready to be back home.
