week 21

Sunday-  We left Chicago early so the kids could go to Awana per their request.  It was the last Awana of the year for them.  Since we will be missing the award ceremony the leaders were so sweet to give the kids their awards in front of the group.  Caiden got the Timothy Award and will be too old for the program next year.

Monday-  we had a slow morning.  The kids were tired after our big weekend in Chicago.  We played games in the morning and enjoyed a slow start at school.  Westin had swim lessons in the morning and Caiden had gymnastics in the evening.

Tuesday- we had today off of school.  We went to the Frederick Meijer Gardens with the Grace homeschool group.  It is always so fun to see the butterflies.  After lunch the kids went to Spanish and I tackled work at home.  We stopped at the library on the way home.

Wednesday- we did a full days worth of work and cleaned the house. We also finished up packing for the kid’s trip to Florida.  My parents came right before dinner and then the big kids had youth group at church.
Thursday-  the kids had breakfast then got on the road with my parents.  I spent the morning cleaning up the house.  Mike and I played games over lunch.  It feels so good to be on top of things.  One of the hardest things about homeschooling for me is the constant feeling that you just can’t get it all done.  It’s tiring to live in that state.  So I am looking forward to having a break and enjoying Mike.
