Week 16
Friday- Today we are taking a road trip to Detroit. I got the kids in the car at 7:20 am. They ate breakfast then the had to read and do a little math on our Math triangle. Then they got to have some iPad time. We stopped half way through at a rest stop for potty breaks then made it to the Underground living museum by 10:00. We took our tour, which the kids loved and then met up with my mom and Westin at the history museum. We ate our sack lunch and checked out the museum and around 1:30 we headed over to the DNR outdoor adventure center, which was awesome! We played until they closed then went to Greek town for dinner. It was a great day of learning.
Thursday-
Wednesday- In the morning the kids worked on making their poetry book. Then they went to Spanish followed by music. We came home and finished our book and watched the movie, which was really good. Then the kids finished Awana and headed off to club.
Tuesday- We stayed home for the whole school day today and it was wonderful. Maddy wanted to do her speedy dots in Spanish, which was fun. The kids used their extra free time to play legos. We talking about plate tectonics in science, underground railroad in history, and we started a new poetry unit in writing today which Maddy loves. We enjoyed another hour of Indian in the Cupboard today too. Then, in the evening Maddy and I went to the homeschool building for an American Girl doll party and Caiden went to a friends house to play.
Monday- We did school in the morning then the big kids went to art and Westin and I went to the YMCA. They did drawing with their eyes closed today. Then we went to lunch with friends. We came home and listened to an hour of "Indian in the Cupboard". Next, we dropped Maddy off at Civic Theater school and the boys and I played at the downtown library. Lastly, we took Caiden to fencing.
