week 24
Sunday- The kids created a minecraft version of candy land on their ipads in the morning. We went to church then Caiden and Westin came home with me and Mike and Maddy went to her second performance at the civic theater. Westin and I took naps while Caiden played with the neighbors. When we all got back together that evening the boys had a little jam session, we watched Ferdinand, and we played darts.
Monday- Caiden and Maddy were not feeling well today so we stayed home from art and lunch time with friends. I've started working with Westin on a few preschool skills. We're calling it table time with mom and he is very excited to do this. It's short and fun and he gets stickers for sitting at the table with mom. I've been trying to encourage him to color more too.
I avoided worksheets today since the kids were sick but we did listen to a book on tape and watched a civil war movie. The kids also read, did math flashcards, and did spanish. Caiden hit 13% today on his duolingo app. He was very proud of that accomplishment.

Tuesday- Today we finished our spelling level 1 pack and moved on to level 2. We also talked about Sherman's march to the sea in history and I let the kids burn pictures of the city of Atlanta. Maddy also hit 10% of her spanish vocabulary. We went to the library for story time and Maddy decided she wanted to go in with Westin today, which was fun as she considers herself too big for story time most days. After we got home we finished up school then listened to some more Hatchet. For dinner used the parsely the kids had been growing in our dinner tonight. The boys went to the guitar shop tonight and westin got a strap for his guitar.

Wednesday- During the school year I scheduled Wednesday to be our no school at home day. The kids had their Spanish group, music lessons, and then Awana. Those activities are enough for one day. So we usually enjoy a nice morning at home then head off to spanish. Today we used our morning time to make easter eggs. We listened to Hatchet in the afternoon then we met friends at the park. The kids had their Awana end of the year ceremony tonight which was a big deal. Both of the big kids finished their books. We are very proud of all the work they did.

Thursday - Today was another really great day. We did school at home in the morning then the kids went to gymnastics class followed by open gym. We went out with friends afterwards for shakes at Stake and Shake. It was a fun day to be a homeschooler today.
