week 25 covid lockdown week 5
Monday
Today the kids did a great job on school. Caiden enjoyed played a game that his teacher from the Van Andel cohort recommended. The kids enjoyed played some games in the afternoon together and Maddy made a car out of a box for Westin.
Tuesday
Today the kids were super independent! I slept in and they got started on work quietly before I came downstairs. We did our history and science lesson together then I went to the grocery store. I unpacked groceries and we all played some Gobblet together. The kids worked on their Awana verses and I video taped them and sent them to their leaders. In the afternoon Maddy did an art hub for kids video and they did a zoom session with their Spanish class. I let Westin take the day off we did read together and he worked on a puzzle enjoyed lots of play time. Mike and I also went for a walk in the afternoon while the kids had screen time with friends. It was a great day.

Wednesday
We woke up to snow this morning. Today was our day off of school. Maddy did several art hub for kids videos. And Caiden and Westin played with shapes. We had a nice relaxing day together.

The kids did a great job working on school today. Caiden had a 10:30 Van Andel zoom meeting. Both big kids had a Spanish zoom meeting in the afternoon.

Friday
The kids worked on their Hamilton PBL project today. They are making a lap book on Simone Biles. They did a great job on all their subjects today. In the evening we had a game night with 2 other couples. It's the highlight of our week seeing our friends.

Saturday
We went for a hike at Palmer Park. Maddy fell in the creek but we were having such a fun time the boys stayed and I took Maddy back to change clothes and we went back out. We saw lots of wild life and had a really good family day together. We picked up pizza and had a picnic lunch on the lawn. Then the kids ran around with blankets for about an hour. We had a campfire in the evening. It was such a beautiful day.
