Week 2

Monday - This week is all about Vikings in history. We learned about monistaries and monks today and how the Vikings often raided them. We made a salt painted cross to go with our lesson on monistaries. We have been talking about Leonardo Da Vinci in art and today we made frescos and read a book about DaVinci. Caiden learned about bianary numbers in math which was fun. In the afternoon we had our running club. It was alot of fun and we had a good turn out. In the evening we watched How to Train Your Dragon 3 as it loosly relates to Vikings.

Tuesday- The kids went to their Spanish class and I got work done around the house. After class we met up with 3 other families and enjoyed the Well's corn maze.

Wednesday - For history we continued our unit on Vikings. We made Rune Stones. The kids worked on their science lapbook. After a good day of work we had running club in the afternoon. Maddy had her zoom call when we got home. She got a owl pellet to dissect for her Van Andel cohort. Caiden had gymnastic after dinner too.

Thursday- We talked about the Viking gods in history. The kids also worked on making Viking ships. We just started adding in Rossetta Stones to our daily work load. We finished up all our school and at 3:00 we met up with some friends at Post Family Farm for some fall fun.

Friday - We have a new routine on Friday. We watch a short Youtube clip then do some school and then the kids clean. This has really helped keep our house from not being so messy. After lunch we met up with some friends for ice cream. Then Westin had swim lessons. After dinner we went over to a friends house for game night.
