Monday - We are taking the week off and man am I ready for a break! This COVID life is getting rough. We're just together all the time. So it's fun to use our time together and focus on fun stuff. We started the morning with a game of Monopoly. then the kids did some drawing projects and just played. We ate lunch together then met up with our hiking group. We ended up getting off the trail and we hiked 4.3 miles. It was a beautiful day with good company so it was nice that we got the extra time outside. After dinner kids took showers and we did a little reading. Then we played a family game of Monopoly.

Tuesday Today was magical. It was the first snow fall of the year. I organized all the kids old clothes and got $122 from Once Upon a Child as well as dropping off 2 giant bags of stuff off at Goodwill. It feels good to get some things organized and cleaned this week. We played Monopoly again today. The kids have been all about the board games which is so fun. Westin helped me make Chex Mix for our unusual Thanksgiving celebration this week. We won't be traveling because of COVID. So we are making our favorite foods instead of doing the traditional meal.

Wednesday We played another game of Monopoly and I did some baking for Thanksgiving. I also picked up a bag of advent activities from church. The kids were excited to work on the projects. The Thelens stopped by to pick up their bags and even though it was raining the kids played in the rain together.

Thursday- Today is Thanksgiving and it looks a lot different than it normally does. We decided to stay home because cases are surging in our area. We decided to play games all day and just have a food buffet out.
