Week 7 November 8

Saturday We arrived home last night at 9:30 and Caiden and I were up at 6:30 to get him to his robotics tournament.  After I dropped him off I came back home and slept until we all went back at 10:30.  His team did ok. Around 4:00 I brought Maddy and Westin back home.  I went back to watch the closing ceremonies we all got home close to 7:00.  It had been a long day but Caiden loved the experience.

 

Sunday- we all went to church and when we came home Caiden took a long nap.  I got ready for the week then we raked leaves and jumped in them.  The kids went to Awana and Mike and I wrapped our heads around the idea of getting back to real life after a wonderful time away together.

Monday- today was Maddy’s birthday.  The big kids only had to do IEW.  We usually take birthday’s off completely but after missing a week of class the kids wanted to get caught up.  It was nice to take a day to recover from travel and the robotics tournament. The kids enjoyed playing with knex and reading. Westin had swim lessons and in the evening Caiden had robotics.  Maddy, Westin, and I did a glow hike with kids from running club.

Tuesday- The kids did math and IEW and enjoyed a low key morning at home. After lunch they had Lingual Learners.  I got caught up on things and then Maddy got her Covid Vaccine after class.  We then met up with the Bibers at the park. We came home for dinner and the. Caiden had robotics. After I dropped him off I came home and found out Mike was trying to fix our broken dishwasher and forgot to turn off the water so there was water everywhere.

Wednesday- In history we talked about the trans Saharan trade routes and how the made Ghana rich.  The kids tackled their other subjects then we went to the library and picked up pizza for lunch after the library. We took our pizza to the park.  It was a beautiful day to catch leaves an sit by the creek. After dinner Maddy had youth group and Caiden had robotics.

Thursday- Caiden had his class from9-10. Maddy had her well child check up at 11.  We all had lunch together then Maddy had we class at 1:45 and Caiden had gymnastics at 4 and robotics from 7-9.  We also tackled school.

Friday- we had screen time Friday and cleaned up the house.  We got lots of school done and the kids packed up for the weekend.  Maddy had riding lessons from 3-4. we came home had dinner packed up the cars.  Mike took Maddy and Westin to Midland and Caiden and I are heading to Novi for a robotics tournament.
