Thanksgiving
Sunday-
Monday- We will just be doing a little curriculum work today and tomorrow so I don't count this as 1 of my 32 weeks of school but a chance to catch up or get ahead. We're moving along at a good pace so far this year for most subjects. The kids did only math, practiced instruments, Spanish, and writing today. We met up with some friends at the library today for family yoga and the kids enjoyed playing with friends after. We also listened to some Harry Potter in the afternoon and played outside.
Tuesday- We made our history poster today and did math then I took the kids to the downtown YMCA. I worked out with some friends and they went to child watch. Then we went to the public museum and they had their rock and mineral club in the evening.
Wednesday -We had friends over for a Thanksgiving Party. We did a few planned activities then the kids played and the moms hung out.
Although we don't do it every week I love playing a family game on Sunday nights. This week we played settlers.
Mike is teaching the kids how to skin a deer.
Westin has been enjoying painting lately
I'm continuing to work with Maddy on subsidizing. I bought these cards a few weeks ago and we've been using them everyday as part of our math warm up.
Then we went to the library for family yoga.
We met several friends there and the kids played after yoga
We took 2 weeks to work through the Oregon Trail and even needed a couple more days to finish up our weekly poster.
Our 8th history poster this year! This has been a great way to review the weeks information.

There were so many kids last month that they broke the group into 2. Caiden and Maddy are in separate groups.
Learning about the 3 types of rock and metalic and non metalic rocks
Both kids got badges tonight. They were very proud.
