week 7

Monday - Art school, lunch with friends, school at home, Mike's hockey game.

Maddy counties to struggle with some basic math principles so we are slowing down and strengthening her math foundation before moving forward. I've been using a lot of math manipulatives lately which is messy but helping.

Tuesday -

Litmus test testing the acidity of lemons

We had a slow morning which included playing with legos.

we're studying studying the Texas Revolution and Davey Crocket dies at the Alamo so we watch some old Disney Davey Crocket episodes today. The kids are in love with him!

Wednesday- We went to Spanish, music lessons, and prepared to Awana.

Today was VIP night so I got to see what Caiden does in TNT.

Thursday - We hiked around the Calvin Eco preserve today with friends. It was a wonderful day to be out in nature. Beautiful fall day. After our hike the kids went to gymnastics which we won't do again. It was to much to do both in 1 day. We also did school and then Maddy had acting school at 4:15 and the boys went trick-or-treating at the children's museum then Caiden had soccer at 6:00. I over booked our day but we had lost of fun.

Friday- Today's BIG project was writing the final copy of our first 6 week writing project. Caiden finished and was very proud of his final project. Maddy didn't have time to finish today. We also finished our weekly history poster today. I've attached the books we used in this unit. I also attached a picture of how our organization of daily subjects has evolved organizationally. I like the dry erase list better then the work box system. It allows me to see the week and alternate subjects based on what activities we have going on.
