week 3
Monday
We enjoyed a slow morning at the house. The kids chipped away at their assignments. Caiden and I went for a run and Maddy stayed in her pajamas until well after 2:00. I took Caiden to his math circle at Calvin and then I took Maddy and Westin to play at the new play area at Woodland mall. It was a hit. We skipped Caiden's soccer practice and enjoyed and quite evening at home. The kids built a fort in the basement out of blankets.

Tuesday
The kids went to Spanish class then we went straight to the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo. They have once a month science classes for homeschoolers. This month's theme was Chemistry. They did a demonstration with liquid nitrogen. The presenter was really good. The kids had free time to play at the museum and then they went to classes based on their ages. They really enjoyed their time at the Air Zoo. Caiden had NRG in the evening. Next week is his robotics tournament.

Wednesday
Maddy had band and choir in the morning. Caiden had his guitar lessons in the morning too. Westin and I spent the morning all cuddled up together reading. Westin had his swim lessons in the afternoon. In between music lessons and swimming we talked about Sumer in history and we've been learning about the eye in Science. The big kids worked on their spelling, reading, writing, vocab, Spanish, and math. Westin is doing really well on his counting, writing, and reading lessons.

Thursday
We talked about how Sumer invented cuneiform writing in history. I gave the kids clay for them to try and make their own cuneiform clay tablets. It was a fun project. We watched a video about how the eye works in science. The kids tackled their subjects and they had gymnatics in the afternoon. In the evening Caiden had NRG.
