week 3

 Monday 

We tackled school then had running club.  The kids are doing a great job with their school work.  Joelle and Beckit joined us for dinner tonight.  We played some games together and enjoyed the hot tub.  We are looking forward to having Beckit with us for the week.

Tuesday

Today was our first full day with Beckit.  The kids all got their school done.  I ran Joelle to the airport and then took Caiden to the doctor to get his foot checked out.  I went grocery shopping while the kids were at gymnastics.  When we came home I had the kids help make lunches for the next 2 days. After dinner Caiden had robotics and I took the other kids to the library and then to the Grandville pumpkin walk.

Wednesday 

We took today off of school and enjoyed a day at Lewis Adventure Farms with our Grace co-op.  We took Caiden's friend Lance with us. The kids really enjoyed the fall fun.  Westin did however manage to get a piece of corn stuck in his ear at the end of the day.  When we got home we ate a quick dinner then the kids were off to Wednesday night church.

Thursday 

All the kids went to Grace today.  I got things done around the house which felt really good, but never feels like enough time.  Westin had soccer and then I picked up Caiden and Maddy and they came home and did their school work.  I coached caiden's soccer team and Beckit played.  After dinner the kids enjoyed working with oil pastels while Mike, I, and Beckit played several games of splendor.  Next caiden and Mike went to robotics.

Friday 

In science we talked about the differences between mitosis and Meiosis in our cell unit.  In history we reviewed our unit on the 3 fires.  We've covered the Ojibway and the Potawatomi so far. The kids are all doing well in math and reading.  I enjoy their writing class this year as I am not responsible for much this year and I get to be the helper not the person correcting their work.  We got pizza as usual on Friday and Maddy went to spend the afternoon with a friend and once the boys finished their work we played games together.  When it was screen time the boys played mindcraft together.  In the evening Caiden went to a friend's house and the rest of the crew did an open gym gymnastics class.
