week 4

 

Monday 

We tackled school and then went to running club.  It was a beautiful day and the kids enjoyed their time outside and with friends.  I dropped off Westin at the house and took Maddy and Beckit grocery shopping.  After dinner the big kids needed some new clothes so we spent several hours at Plato's closet.

Tuesday

The kids did a great job working through their school work and then the kids went to gymnastics.  I went to a coffee shop to get some stuff done and then we came home and did dinner.  In the evening caiden had robotics.

Wednesday 

We did an half day of school and after lunch heading to the museum.  We had a nice relaxed morning with a short list of items to complete.  It was Native American week and we got see native drum circles and native dancing.  We also got to meet people from all 3 fire tribes.  This was a great way to end our unit study on local Native Americans.  We also went through the museum's Native American exhibt.  I made a scavenger hunt for the kids and they got a reward for finding all the items on the list.  After dinner we all went to church.

Thursday 

The kids went to co-op at Grace and then had soccer.  The kids are connecting with some of the other kids there which is fun.  They enjoy playing games together. Caiden had robotics in the evening.

Friday 

Today we finished out unit on the cell.  To celebrate the end of the unit we made an edible cell.  I took the kids to the store and they picked out candy that matched the organelles. It was a fun project.  For lunch we got Adobe and ate it at the park.  After dinner the big kids went to the Haunt.  They had been asking to see it for years.  We then picked Joelle up from the airport. Beckit had been with us for almost 2 weeks.  It was a lot of extra work to have another kid in the house but our kids really enjoyed having him here.
