Week 24

Monday- Caiden made this awesome 3D structure in his art class in his HsAP Monday program.

Tuesday- Caiden had Camp Roger this Tuesday so Maddy and I met up with some friends at the Fredrik Meijer Gardens.  The kids enjoyed all kinds of butterfly activities.

Wednesday- We went to the library met up with friends for lunch and worked on Caiden's South America project.  We made the Andes mountains today.

Thursday- I was the parent helper today at the kids Rez Life homeschool group.  It's fun to see the kids in action and it's cute to see how excited they get to have me be the parent helper in their room.  We also did our science project on hot air rising and Maddy's derby class had their race today.  She got 2nd place and was very excited to receive her first trophy.

Friday- Friday is also known as pajama day and on this one day of the school week screen time is an option during break time as long as Caiden has had a good attitude during the week.  Caiden looks forward to Friday all week long. What's funny is he often decides to do other things during his break.  Like today he said "mom I don't want my Ipad I just want to play with Westin." During one of his breaks he and Westin chased a bouncy ball around the house.  Another break they played blocks together.  I love how these two boys love each other.

Weekend education- We went to the Blanford Nature Center's Maple Syrup festival.  Super educational!  They talked about the process of making maple syrup as well as what animals eat the sap and the history of maple syrup.  The kids loved this!
