week 17

 Monday - We did school today because my parents are coming to visit this Wednesday and we'd like to take our day off when they are here. We talked about how rocks are made today in science.  We are covering the 4th crusade in history. The kids did a great job on their other subjects and enjoyed playing in the snow.  Their Holland Class was cancelled due to cold.

Tuesday - We had nothing to do today so we started the day with Monopoly.  We talked about erosion in science. And talked about the 4th crusades in history.  The kids did a lot of extra imagination play today including making superheroes into restaurants.  Maddy invented Starkbucks and then she set up a little cafe.  It was a really great day.

Wednesday - Today was our day off. My parents came to visit today.  They took the kids out for ice cream.  We also played Monopoly, Carcassonne, and Texas hold em.  It was a great day visit.

Thursday - We talked about the crusades in history and got all of our work done early. We met friends for sledding at Charlie's dump. Westin had 2 swim lessons in the evening and Caiden had a battle of the books practice in the evening.

Friday- We did YouTube school and cleaning today.  Then we went to a Valentine's party in the woods with friends.  My mom sent Starbucks cards for the kids so we hit that up too on the way home.  It was a perfect Friday .

Saturday - The kids and I went to The Muskegon Winter Sports Complex today.  They have an ice skating trail in the woods.  It was a lot of fun.  After skating for 2 1/2 hours we went down to the beach to see it in all it's frozen glory.
